Brig. Gen. Troy D. Havener is the Assistant Adjutant General-Air, Nevada Air National Guard. In this capacity, he assists the Adjutant General in strategic plan implementation, leads the Nevada Air National Guard, and synchronizes with joint and partner agencies across the nation and in Nevada. He also serves as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, United States Air Force Warfare Center, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. In this capacity, General Havener assists the USAF Warfare Center Commander in overseeing five wings and two named units in the execution of total force operational test, tactics development, and advanced training efforts.


Brig. Gen. Havener was commissioned in 1993 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He served over nine years in the active duty Air Force before joining the Air National Guard in 2002. He has served in ANG units in Iowa, Minnesota, and California, and has been part of National Guard Bureau Air Staff. He commanded the ANG Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC), and he served as 148th Fighter Wing Vice Commander. Prior to his current position, the general was the Commander, 144th Fighter Wing, Fresno, California. Brig. Gen. Havener is a command pilot with more than 3,300 flying hours in the F-16C/D, F-15C/D, AT-38B, T-38, and T-37, including more than 350 combat hours.
