CSM Basilio 308x383 CSM Dennis L. Basilio was born in the Philippines and entered the Army in Guam, USA, in May 1996. He attended basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and Advance
Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia, as Distinguished Honor Graduate. Upon graduation, his initial assignment was to the 1st Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion 63rd Armor in Vilseck, Germany.

CSM Basilio’s assignments include four years in active duty with 2/63rd Armor in Vilseck, Germany, 777th Engineers, 992nd Troop Command as Battalion Staff, 1864th Transportation Company as a Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant, 240th Engineers as the First Sergeant, Commandant for the 421st Regimental Training Institute, 17th Special Troops Battalion as the Battalion Command Sergeant Major, and currently with the 17th Sustainment Brigade as the Brigade Command Sergeant Major.

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Army Achievement Medals (2 OLC), Good Conduct Medal, NCO Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Overseas Service Ribbon (2 numeral), NV State Commendation Medal, NV National Guard Service Ribbon, NV National Guard Meritorious Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Achievement
Medal, Adjutant General Outstanding Graduate Award, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge – Silver, 2-63 AR Battalion Soldier of the Year, 1997, 2-63AR Battalion NCO of the Year, 1999 and 992nd Troop Command NCO of the Year, 2004.

CSM Basilio’s Civilian Education is through Divine Word University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree. CSM Basilio graduated on April 27, 2017, with a Master of Business Administration cognate in Project Management degree with Columbia Southern University. On September 12, 2019, he graduated with a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership in the same institution.

CSM Basilio’s military education includes the Unit Supply Specialist Course, (Distinguished Honor Graduate), Defense Reutilization/Marketing System Course, Infantry Weapons Specialist Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, Primary Leadership Development Course (Commandant’s List), Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Laser
Marksmanship Training Course, Motor Transportation Operator Course, Movement Tracking System Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, TC AIMS II, Army Basic Instructor Course, Small Group Instructor Trainer Course, Combatives Level 1, Tactical Combatives II, First Sergeant Course, Battle Staff Noncommissioned Officers Course (Adjutant Generals Outstanding Graduate Award), US Army Interior Electrician Course, United States Sergeants Major Academy Course, and Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education.

He attended the Joint Combined Services Ulchi Freedom Guardian Theater Level Exercise, in the Republic of Korea, as the Mobility and Counter-Mobility NCOIC. He deployed with the 17th Sustainment Brigade as the first 17th STB CSM to deploy and to oversee personnel in seven Middle Eastern countries such as Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
